Pachyphytum

Pachyphytum is a small genus of succulents in the Crassulaceae family, native to Mexico. The name comes from the ancient Greek pachys (=thick) and phyton (=plant) because of the shape of the leaves. They are hardy and both heat and frost tolerant, amking them ideal feature plants in gardens and rockeries where there are more extreme climates. They have beautiful fleshy, grey-green leaves, often with a chalk coating.
