Delosperma copperi

With spectacular ruby red flowers, this succulent will grow and thrive in most conditions. It is drought-tolerant, salt-tolerant, and is not fussy about its soil. They have short green foliage in opposite formation along trailing stems, forming an attractive and interesting ground-cover. It can tolerate full sun or shade and will flower in spring.

Height: Trailing plant growing close to the ground, with stems up to 1m long.

Light: Full sun to partial shade.

Water: Water during the summer and spring, making sure it has good drainage. Reduce water in the winter as excess water can damage the plant.

Flowers: Produces ruby red daisy-like flowers in the springtime.

Propagation: From stem cuttings taken during spring - autumn.

Care: Very low-maintenance plant in suitable growing conditions. It will thrive in rich, well-draining soil.
